Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Extract: The components in the cytosol of selected plant stem cells such as Malus domestica are rich in specific factors relevant to protect and maintain the function of skin stem cells. In addition, Malus domestica var. Uttwiler Spätlauber cells are known to contain metabolites which insure longevity of skin cells.
Haloxyl™ (INCI Name: Tentative-Water (and) Glycerin (and) Steareth-20 (and) Hydroxysuccinimide (and) Chrysin (and) Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (and) Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7): prevents and diminishes the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Based on a matrikine™ complex, HALOXYL™ targets the underlying cause of dark circles. Clinical studies show that HALOXYL™ decreases the color intensity of the discoloration by as much as 45%.
Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5: has clinically proven anti-edema (reduces fluid build-up) properties and also improves the circulation in the under eye area. When applied topically, this ingredient helps prevent and visibly reduces puffiness in as little as 15 days. It has also been reported to reduce the decomposition of collagen, to increase the lymph flow and to prevent edema.
Pinus Pinaster Extract (Pine Bark): Potent antioxidant can be used to protect against free radicals, which slows progressive ATP deficiency. In addition it soothes the skin by inducing a minor release of the inflammation mediators IL-6 and IL-8 and limiting the damage at a cellular and extracellular level.
Gorgonian Extract (Sea whip): has potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Harvested from deep in the Atlantic Ocean, the pseudopterosins found in sea whip extract considered to exceed the anti-inflammatory potency of hydrocortisone. A mere 0.06% of the extract neutralizes 90% of the Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) a naturally occurring enzyme in the body that leads to the pain and swelling seen with acne and skin sensitivity.
D-GAMMA TOCOPHEROL is a multi-functional and highly effective ingredient. It is a long chain antioxidant which provides it with much greater free radical scavenging properties than simple, short chain Alpha Tocopherol. It is a tyrosinase inhibitor shown in studies to effectively lighten & brighten the skin and reduce melanin synthesis. It provides potent antioxidant protection against UV and environmental contamination induced free radicals. Studies have shown it to be an effective Cox II inhibitor, significantly reducing redness and suppressing inflammation when applied topically to the skin.
